Unique Jesus Paintings by Frank G. Marcello
Artists are often drawn to a subject and will paint a series of paintings to fully explore the topic themselves. In our first offering by Frank G. Marcello, we give you Christ Our Lord.
During the mid-70s, Frank did many book covers for a Christian publisher (Whitaker House Publishing).
As exercises to help with the book covers, he created Jesus paintings in several different ways. His models were friends and distant family that he already knew and he used them as models to produce these three intense paintings. (These are only three in the series. We may have more later).
Notice the artist's use of line, light, and space that he learned at Barnes. And find the intensity in Christ's eyes. Someone who believes will be lost in them. But somehow these paintings are comfort. We feel that each or all of them would be a wonderful, calming addition to your home.
These are original paintings that you cannot get anywhere else. We are not selling those. We're selling giclée prints, which present these paintings on canvas for stretching.
